Shipping Policy.

Quick summary

  • We ship from Italy (Zimella, VR) to most of the world.
  • You choose standard or express shipping at checkout, with or without insurance.
  • Shipping cost depends on destination, weight and method — calculated at checkout.

1. Shipping methods

We offer different shipping methods depending on your destination and the size/weight of the order. Available options are shown at checkout once you enter the shipping country.

  • Standard tracked — economical, fully tracked, delivery times vary by country.
  • Express courier — fastest option (typically DHL, UPS, FedEx, GLS or equivalent), full tracking and drop-off service.
  • Optional insurance — available on express services; insures the parcel for 100% of the product value (excluding the shipping cost itself).

2. Lead time & handling

Stocked parts are typically dispatched within 2–5 business days of payment confirmation. Custom-built batteries and configured drivetrains require additional handling time — the indicative lead time is shown on each product page and confirmed in your order acknowledgement. Lead times exclude weekends, Italian public holidays and the carrier's own transit time.

Dispatch times may vary because of availability or force majeure (postal strikes, customs delays, extreme weather). We are not liable for delivery delays once the parcel is in the carrier's hands; we are happy to help you chase a slow parcel.

3. Tracking

As soon as your order leaves our workshop you receive a dispatch confirmation email containing the tracking number and the link to the carrier's tracking page. The same information is available in your account order history.

4. Shipping insurance — what it covers

With insurance: if the parcel is lost or arrives damaged in transit, the order is fully refunded or re-shipped for the product value. The original shipping cost itself is not refundable, since insurance protects goods, not the courier service. Insurance is available on express services only.

Without insurance: we are not responsible for lost, held or damaged packages — the carrier is. We carefully pack and label every parcel and we have an excellent track record, but once the parcel is collected by the carrier we cannot warrant its journey. We are not responsible either for mis-delivery caused by incorrect shipping information you provided at checkout.

For any high-value order (custom batteries, complete kits) we strongly recommend insurance. We are responsible for your purchase only until it reaches the post office / pick-up point.

5. International orders — duties & taxes

EU orders are shipped with VAT included where applicable. No additional customs duty is due within the EU single market.

Orders outside the EU may be subject to import duties, customs fees and local sales taxes collected on delivery by the carrier or local customs authority. These charges are your responsibility as the importer of record. They are not included in the price shown at checkout. Refusing a parcel to avoid paying customs does not entitle you to a refund of the original shipping cost or of any return-shipping cost incurred by us.

6. Country not available?

If your country is not selectable at checkout, it means we have not configured a default shipping rate for it — not necessarily that we cannot ship there. Email us at info@eskating.eu with the list of items you want and your full delivery address and we will reply with a manual shipping quote.

7. Lithium battery shipping restrictions

Lithium-ion battery packs are classified as UN3480 / UN3481 dangerous goodsand are shipped in compliance with IATA / ADR / IMO regulations. As a consequence:

  • Some destinations (typically remote islands or specific countries) cannot accept battery shipments by air. We will contact you with alternatives before charging your card.
  • Battery shipping requires specific packaging and labelling, which is included in the shipping cost.
  • For some carriers, only ground shipping is available for batteries — this may increase transit time.

8. Problems on delivery

Inspect every parcel before signing. If the box shows visible damage, sign “with reservation” (or refuse delivery) and take photos. Then contact us within 48 hours at info@eskating.eu. Keep the packaging until the claim is closed.
