I know the brake lights work off the ppm signal from the remote, but which port on the VESC do you plug the lights into for the brake light to get this signal? UART port? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ryan, the kit include a splitter, you will just need to insert one plug into the ppm signal of your vesc, then the other will go to the receiver.
No need UART port, it can also work with any other simple ESC in the market.

Will this work with a simple esc like the diyeboard one?

Very interested but I want to check it will work first.

Hi Josh, thanks for your question! it seems that this dual esc doesn’t come with a PPM wire (as for any traditional Esc/vesc/focbox have), the PPM Signal is needed for the Light system to have the functional brakes. Maybe, if there is any additional adapter that get into that Esc (sold apart or something homemade), and come out with Gnd, Positive and Signal, then it’s ok!

Would this kit work on a boosted board?

Support

It needs a PPM signal out of the esk8 controllers, not sure Boosted board has it!

Is it possible to have another light color in frontside? Blue or green for example..

Support

Hi Jean, at the moment we have some Super cool white leds that tend to be more blue than white.
If you want, you can say in the order note to install that kind of “white blue led” instead.
