Really well built board. I adjusted my configuration a few times and Alberto was great to deal with and answered all of my questions and kept me up to speed.

I ordered the 12SP5 battery, ABEC 107 mm wheels, bluetooth and lights. The board is relatively heavy – fine to carry for a short space of time but the kayak handle is definitely necessary just for those times were you need to pickup the board. Glad I upgraded the wheels as 107 mm wheels are suitable for UK roads and make going over rough roads and mounting pavements managable. I will probably upgrade to pneumatic wheels once they are available for better ride comfort. The lights are a really nice touch. Bluetooth unfortunately does not work with my Samsung Note 8 but works with iPhone, I believe this is an Android/Samsung issue – just something to be aware of.

I’m was a complete beginner but was able to ride comfortably on the road after a few days of practicing. So far I am happy and will order any replacment parts from Alberto. Now I’ve caught the esk8 bug, I will probably buy the little beast in a few months time as I’d like something a bit more portable, light and easy to manouvre around the city.

This board is awesome! I received the board a few weeks ago and did 100+ km on it without any problems. I ordered the 12S5P configuration with the standard Caliber trucks, led lights, bluethooth for the Ackmaniac software and 107mm wheels. Alberto did install the Ackmaniac software so I’m able to use different modes via the App. I usually use the board with a mode which restricts the board to 75% of its max power in Watts and around 90% of motor max current and thats more than enough to go up every hill around and go faster then the e-bikes –>uphill!. We have hills everywhere and with my Carbon GT I got no more than 20km range, with the Beast I can go faster and 40-50km range even when the board is just charged to 90% is no problem. The board is on the heavy side but I don’t mind it because I usually don’t carry it around, I ride it, it feels solid and stable. On my first ride I did 50km/h without trouble but usually my carving speed is around 30-35km/h and on this board it feels like total control.
The led lights a very nice, espacially the breaklight.

The only thing which would be nice are Caliber E-Trucks to make it possible to use 15mm whide pulleys, but the 9mm also work great and the 3D printed pulleys feel rock solid and light weight, didn’t expect that from a 3D printed pulley. So the 15mm whide Pulley is just a thing if you have already a board like I do and want to change wheels between the boards otherwise I can’t see an issue with the 9mm, so still 5 stars 🙂

Got something to discuss?

1 year 4 months ago

In fact it is this model that interests me enormously! But the deck is not what I’m looking for, is it possible to change the deck? If yes do not hesitate to contact me I’m interested, I’m just looking for a board that can allow me to travel a long distance and this model looks perfect! Just one last question is it a ready-made model?

Thanks in advance and happy holidays

Hey David, this is the kit you should definitely check then!without deck

Hi, great board. Just want to ask if it is possible to convert to Mountain Board Road 8″ Tires and what parts do I need to add to the order to have this option of swapping them when needed/wanted?

1 year 3 months ago

hi Matej, thank you for your question.
To convert the dual beast in mountain you will need wider trucks (the ATS 12 or the new we are going to produce) and the tires with hubs, the mountainboard clamps (dont need the motor plates since are compatible) 72T wheel pulley, longer belts. this will convert it to a mountainboard/landy evo 😀

How much does it weight with 12s5p config?

1 year 2 months ago

Hi Ivan! thanks for your question, it weights 12 kg with the biggest battery, the 12s5p 30Q

1 year 1 month ago

Hey Alberto!
I was wondering what is the weight of the board with the default battery (10s4p 30Q)?
In the previous comments you said that with the biggest battery it weights 12kg which seem quite a lot (but I guess it makes sense with such a big battery).

Thanks in advance

1 year 1 month ago

Hi Michal! thanks for your question (updating the boards weight now).
I can finally say with more accuracy that the weight is 10kg with 10s4p and 11kg with 12s5p (just the 12s5p battery is 3,5kg 😉 )

I’m going to suggest this handles for all dual beasts and Mountainboards that are heavy too

1 year 1 month ago

Thanks Alberto for very fast reply!
I am torn between The Little Beast and this one. I like the portability of the Little Beast but the range and dual motors are amazing on this one! 10kg should be manageable with the handle in case I need to carry it a bit. And also there is a slight price difference 😉

1 year 1 month ago

Hello again!
I was wondering if it is possible to get wider belts on this board (12 mm or even 15 mm)? 9 mm sounds bit too small. I have talked to a guy that has built a board from your shop and he said that he broke 4 belts last year. He said he was riding quite aggressive though. Thanks in advance

1 year 1 month ago

Hi Michal! the “shorter” 6355 motors don’t allow to carry wider transmissions on 183mm as Calibers.
To preserve belts, we are suggesting to everybody to install the Pulley & Belt Guards that are now always included with the Dual Beast, that’s a great choice for all kind of Esk8 builds and kits, we just know they are fully compatible with our mounts.

please add pneumatic wheels as an AT upgrade option, or as a separate product – I might be interested in purchasing. This thing would blow the Evolve’s out of the water.

1 year 19 days ago

Hi Radek, thank you a lot for your comment. I promise I’ll do it 🙂 and very soon, since next week we’ll be finally able to start the CNC motor mount production for Pneumatic wheels as for mountainboards (wider trucks)
I think to offer the choice about regular Street white trucks ATS12 from MBS and include the option of spring Eskating trucks also (ready very soon too)
As soon as the mounts will be ready I’ll do this upgrade to my old dual Beast, and of course will be available on our Official Instagram page/stories. thanks also to you 😉

How would the stiffness/ride smoothness be compared to the Evolves? Im assuming Evo deck Is pretty stiff, so with normal trucks like the carbon gt? And with the springs more like the GTX?

Do you have a flexboard incoming anytime soon? Would love that here in Stockholm on all the rough Streets.

7 months 18 days ago

Hi Jonatan, sorry for the delay we just got an issue with the comments system.

Yes, we are going to sell flexible trampa style decks made by carbon fiber, here in italy. The manufacturer got a delay on production so we are just waiting their ok to start selling.
Maybe available early next year if not before!

Hey, just wanted to know if you use risers with this build and what the clearence is?

5 months 20 days ago

hi! yes we use double hard angled risers, with the dual drive wires hall riser too in the back.

What kind of clearance? trucks from deck, motor from deck or the battery from the ground?

5 months 11 days ago

Thanks, I meant the clearance from battery to ground. How thick are the risers at their highest and lowest point?

5 months 5 days ago

hi, really interested in this model, will u guys ship to hong kong? thxx

5 months 3 days ago

hi! we are sorry, we cannot ship batteries overseas, we can ship the beast without it, providing you a discount as the battery price.

Hi. I don’t understand what is the at12 truck upgrade? Is this board waterproof? You can reply in Italian if you want

2 months 27 days ago

Hi Francesco, we just reply in English so all people here can understand better what we talk about, it’s not an Italian website.

The Ats 12 trucks upgrade have bigger wheels (pneumatics with 200mm of diameter), the ats12 wide trucks of course, and another kind of transmission.
The last picture in the gallery has the ats12 trucks upgrade.

Our board can’t be waterproof, we would say water resistant instead.

Is it still only available with the Falcon deck?

1 month 13 days ago

Hey Rémy, the new Evo decks are coming soon, so we’ll install the Evo decks in all pending and future orders.
